Poker-themed dinners, course by course

Dining format

Entertainment that respects the dinner

Standing floors do not suit every event. A long table, a fixed seating plan and a kitchen with a service schedule need an entertainment format that fits between the courses rather than competing with them.

Our dinner format runs in short, hosted rounds. Guests keep a small stack of symbolic chips beside them, each interlude lasts ten to fifteen minutes, and the host hands the room back to the kitchen on cue. By dessert there is a light-hearted table standing — and, as always, nothing has been played for money.

How it runs

The sequence on the day

  1. Menu and timings

We map the interludes against your course schedule.

  2. Setting

Chips, rules cards and markers are laid with the covers.

  3. Rounds

Short hosted rounds between courses, paused instantly on request.

  4. Standings

A light-hearted close before or after dessert, with keepsakes only.

Why this is a safe offline format

Poker-themed dinners runs entirely in person at your venue. Guests receive symbolic chips free of charge; those chips have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, cannot be exchanged for money, vouchers or goods, and are collected at the end of the night. There is no betting, no stake of any kind, no payout and no online component. Entry is restricted to adults aged 20+ and over, and our hosts state the format out loud before each table opens.

Client feedback

What organisers tell us

Feedback is published anonymously. We never use client logos or name organisations without written permission.

It gave the dinner a spine. People stayed at the table far longer than they normally would and the kitchen never lost a minute.

Good to know

Questions about this format

Does the entertainment delay service?
No. The host works from your kitchen's schedule and stops a round mid-way if service is ready. The dinner always takes priority.
Is anything played for money?
Never. Chips are symbolic, they are issued with the place settings and they are collected at the end. There are no stakes, no payouts and no cash prizes.
Can you run this alongside speeches?
Yes — in fact it works well. Interludes sit between speaking slots and give the room a break without letting the energy drop.
