Our service is the organisation of casino-themed offline events in New Zealand. We are an event entertainment provider: we do not operate real-money gambling, betting, cash prizes or online casino services, and we therefore do not process payment-card data, wallet data or gambling account data of any kind.
2. What personal data we collect
2.1 Data you give us through the enquiry form
The enquiry form on this website collects four pieces of information, all of which are required in order to answer you:
| Field | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Name | To address our reply and the written proposal. |
| Phone number | To discuss the event, the venue and the date with you. |
| Event type | To route the enquiry to the right producer and suggest a format. |
| Event date | To check crew, host and equipment availability. |
The form also records your confirmation of three statements: that the event is intended for adults aged 20+ and over, that you accept this Privacy Policy, and that you understand the service does not include real-money gambling, betting or cash prizes.
2.2 Data you give us by contacting us directly
If you email or telephone us, we process the contact details and the content of your message so that we can reply and, where a booking follows, administer it.
2.3 Data collected automatically
Our hosting provider processes standard server log data (IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp) for security and delivery purposes. Cookies and similar technologies used for analytics or advertising are only activated after you consent to them — see section 7 and our Cookie Policy.
3. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry and preparing a proposal | Steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract |
| Administering a confirmed booking | Performance of a contract |
| Keeping records of quotations and bookings | Legal obligation and our legitimate interest in defending claims |
| Website security and fraud prevention | Our legitimate interest in operating a secure website |
| Analytics cookies | Your consent |
| Advertising, conversion measurement and ads personalisation | Your consent |
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
4. How long we keep your data
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months from the last contact, so that we can recognise a returning enquiry.
- Booking and event records: for the duration of the contract and then for the period required by New Zealand tax and company law.
- Cookie consent records: stored on your own device and refreshed when you change your choice.
- Server logs: short retention periods set by our hosting provider.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for the independent commercial purposes of third parties. Data may be shared with:
- our hosting and email providers, acting as processors on our instructions;
- professional advisers (accountants, lawyers, insurers) where necessary;
- a venue or sub-contracted supplier, where this is required to deliver a confirmed booking and only to the extent necessary;
- Google, if and when you consent to analytics or advertising cookies — see section 7.
6. International transfers
Some of our processors may store data outside New Zealand. Where that happens, we rely on the relevant transfer safeguards offered by that provider, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. If you would like details of a specific provider, write to [email protected].
7. Cookies, analytics, Google Ads and Consent Mode v2
This website is prepared for Google Consent Mode v2. When a page loads, all optional
consent signals are set to denied before any tag can run:
ad_storage: deniedanalytics_storage: deniedad_user_data: deniedad_personalization: denied
No analytics cookie, advertising cookie, conversion tag or remarketing tag is loaded in that state. The signals are only updated after you make an explicit choice in the cookie banner or in the cookie settings dialog:

analytics_storage. - Marketing cookies (Google Ads conversion measurement, remarketing
and ads personalisation) control
ad_storage,ad_user_dataandad_personalization. - Necessary cookies are always active but never enable analytics or advertising storage.
If Google services are used on this website and you have given the relevant consent, certain data — such as your online identifiers, the pages you visit and your interaction with our advertising — may be shared with Google and used for measurement and ads personalisation. You can read how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services here: How Google uses data when you use its partners' sites or apps. Further information about Google's handling of business data is available at Google Business Data Responsibility.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Change cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.
8. Your rights
Subject to the applicable law, you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- request deletion of your data where we have no continuing need for it;
- object to or request restriction of certain processing;
- receive the data you gave us in a portable format;
- withdraw consent to analytics or advertising cookies at any time;
- complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand or, if you are in the EEA or the UK, to your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify your records. We respond within the statutory period and, in any event, as quickly as we reasonably can.
9. Deletion requests
Write to [email protected] with the subject line “Data deletion request”. We will confirm what has been deleted and tell you if anything must be retained, for example a completed booking record we are required to keep for tax purposes.
10. Children
Our events are for adults aged 20+ and over, and this website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under that age. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls and a minimal-data approach: we only ask for what we need to answer an enquiry. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we hold.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our processing or in the law. The current version is always published at combofever.com with the date it was last updated.
