Cookie Policy
What cookies and similar technologies we use, how Google Consent Mode v2 is implemented, and how you stay in control of your choice.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels and software development kits — work in comparable ways. They can be used to make a site work, to measure how it is used, and to support advertising measurement and personalisation.
This policy explains what ComboFever uses on combofever.com and how you stay in control of it.
2. Our principles
- No analytics cookie and no advertising cookie is set before you consent.
- Nothing optional is pre-ticked in our settings dialog.
- Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting: both buttons are on the first layer and carry the same visual weight.
- Scrolling, closing the banner or navigating to another page is never treated as consent.
- You can change or withdraw consent at any time through Change cookie settings in the footer.
- We do not use cookie walls: the content of this site is fully available whatever you choose.
3. Categories we use
3.1 Necessary cookies
Always active. These are strictly necessary to deliver the website and to remember your cookie choice so that we do not ask you again on every page. They never enable analytics or advertising storage.
| Purpose | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Storing your cookie preferences | Local storage on your device | Until you clear it or change your choice |
| Security and load balancing by our host | Server-side / session | Session |
3.2 Analytics cookies
Off by default. If you allow them, they help us understand how the site is used
— which pages are read, where visitors arrive from, where they leave. This category
covers tools such as Google Analytics 4 and controls the Consent Mode signal
analytics_storage.
3.3 Marketing cookies
Off by default. If you allow them, they support Google Ads conversion measurement,
remarketing and ads personalisation. This category controls the Consent Mode signals
ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization.
4. Google Consent Mode v2
This site implements a Consent Mode v2-ready layer. On every page load, before any tag manager or measurement tag could run, the following default state is sent:
| Signal | Default | Controlled by |
|---|---|---|
ad_storage | denied | Marketing cookies |
analytics_storage | denied | Analytics cookies |
ad_user_data | denied | Marketing cookies |
ad_personalization | denied | Marketing cookies |
An update is only sent after you press Accept all,
Reject all or Save my choices. Choosing
“Reject all” leaves every optional signal at denied.
Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads tags — where they are
added — must be configured to respect these signals. We also enable Google's
ads_data_redaction and url_passthrough settings so that
measurement without consent remains cookieless.
5. Data shared with Google
If Google services are active on this site and you have consented to the relevant category, data such as online identifiers, the pages you view and your interaction with our advertising may be shared with Google and processed for measurement and personalisation purposes. More information:
6. How to accept, reject or configure cookies
- When you first open the site, the cookie banner offers Accept all, Reject all and Cookie settings.
- Cookie settings lets you allow analytics and marketing separately. Neither is pre-selected.
- Your choice is stored on your device only.
- To change or withdraw it, use Change cookie settings in the footer of any page.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect how some websites behave, although the content of this site will remain accessible.
7. Changes
If we add a measurement or advertising tool, this policy and the settings dialog will be updated before that tool is activated, and the new category will remain off until you consent to it.
